A survey for the ladies

I got a girl's phone number in the bar tonight.

Someone just told me to wait a week before calling so I don't look desperate.

Thoughts?



Update: Well, since the 'one week' advice had come from [info]sykomonkey, I had already given it all the consideration as I felt appropriate, and decided to call on Tuesday. Sunday is Mother's day, and on Monday, I'm working from midnight till 9, then in class from 9:30-1pm. Calling anyone on Monday would be ill-advised. Thus, Tuesday it shall be.

For all you know, she gave you her number *because* you look desperate. Be damned for what you are, not what you think she thinks you're supposed to be.

I personally never listen to this sort of advice and as a result see less action than the Swiss Army.

I'm going to agree with the two days thing. Then you'll have ample time to arrange a rendezvous for next weekend. You wait a whole week and the weekend is already over.

Well, considering I'm a female, I would say wait 3 of 4 days. A week may be too long and may think that you may have found it in your pocket while washing your clothes or happened to find it convenient to call since you forgot or something silly like that.

What's the problem? Is she, like, "the one"? Would you honestly want to date someone who analyzed you so thoroughly that the timing between getting her number and calling her actually mattered? Just phone her. Don't wait, don't wonder what she will think, just pick up the phone and call.
